The laptop could not live up to our expectations with the cooling fan, which is located in the front of the laptop between the battery and CPU. This places the cooler under the fan motor, rather than in the more central location of the CPU and therefore makes very little air flow to the fans.

The integrated graphics card is one of the best available on the market and was able to run all of the latest games without any problems. Although the integrated graphics card is powerful enough to play most games it lacks the raw power of the newer models from both Sony and Asus.

Both laptops provided smooth and fast performance, although the Dell was slightly faster when it came to graphics. If you are on a tight budget then the Dell G3 15 gaming laptop offers an excellent option. It has all the basic features and provides good value for money.

Although the screen is not as strong as the gaming models from Sony and Asus it is still a respectable sized screen.
